Emmanuel Frimpong feared the worst when he was stretchered off during Wolves 2-1 win at QPR. Having missed the whole of last season with a cruciate injury to his left knee, it has now been confirmed that he has exactly the same injury, but this time in his right knee.Arsenal.com issued a statement which reads: Arsenal Football Club can confirm that on-loan midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee whilst playing for Wolverhampton Wanderers against Queens Park Rangers during the first half of Saturday’s Premier League fixture at Loftus Road.
Having had a similar injury to his left knee in 2010, Emmanuel will see specialists in London over the next few days before having surgery and starting a programme of rehabilitation.
