A Pleasant Hill police officer who wrecked his marked police SUV was in possession of drugs at the time of the crash and will need more than a good asbestos cancer lawyer, authorities said Friday.Sgt. Daniel Herbert Edwards, 42, was charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and placed on paid administrative leave pending an Iowa State Patrol investigation.
